Our PROGRAM provides educational, hands-on experiences through free-play, learning centers, and structured activities, such as circle or story time. Some of our curriculum areas include pre-reading and writing skills, math activities, fine and large motor activities, art and sensory experiences, communication and language skills, science and nature, and creative movement with music.
Our PHILOSOPHY is to allow children to use their own imaginations. For instance, a wooden train rather than an electric one, a simple doll rather than one that talks. We strive to challenge and stimulate each child at his or her own developmental level.
SECURITY AND SAFETY of your child is of utmost importance. Children are only released to individuals listed on the child’s enrollment records. ID is enquired before releasing children to anyone staff does not recognize. Doors are locked at all times.

The owner Mary Kalas received her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Elementary Education from Eastern Michigan University in 1989. In addition, she attends conferences and seminars to maintain current material on caring for and educating her children.
She has been married to her husband Deno for over twenty years. In the spring of 1990, when their son was 6 months old, she cared for children in their home.
Little People’s University Child Care Center was established in 1992 after developing a reputation for quality education and a loving environment. Mary continues to be involved in the care and education of her children.
